GEMMA KOPPEN_ARCHITECT (NL 1969)
For the last 10 years Gemma Koppen has gained international work experience in the architectural offices of Asymptote New York City, Nox Rotterdam, Foster & Partners London and Herzog & de Meuron Basel.
She also directed her own office Gemarch in Rotterdam, designing for private clients as well as for large organizations like the Dutch Governmental Building Agency and the Skopelos Art Foundation.
Next to her practical work as an architect, Gemma Koppen was visiting professor and guest critic at many international universities including Columbia University New York City, Pratt Institute New York City, the University of Kassel, the Art Academy Munich, the Technical University Delft and the Berlage Institute Rotterdam.
Gemma Koppen studied Architecture at the Technical University Delft, NL, where she graduated in 1995. Additionally she studied Urban Design at Pratt Institute New York City in 1993-1994. In 1997 she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Advanced Architectural Design at Columbia University, New York City.
TANJA C VOLLMER_PSYCHOBIOLOGIST (DE 1968)
For the last 15 years Dr. Vollmer has worked as scientist and clinician in the area of Medical Psychology and Psychobiology. She gained her international working experiences at the Georg-August-University in Göttingen, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Szeged, the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Memorial-Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. From 2002 to 2007 Dr. Vollmer was Head of the German Psycho-Oncology Research and Council Center at the University Hospital in Munich GH. With her pioneering work in the field of Integrative Psycho-Oncology she achieved international reputation and founded the Institute of Applied Psychology in Architecture and Health in Rotterdam in 2008.
Dr. Vollmer is teaching at several Universities in Europe and instructs professionals all over the world.
Tanja Vollmer graduated in Biology in 1995, took her doctoral degree (PhD) in Natural Sciences in 1997 and graduated in Psychology in 1998. She is also licensed Psychotherapist and graduated in Psycho-Oncology at Harvard Medical School in Boston in 2006.
